- Family Literacy
Family literacy is a term used to describe the concept of parents and children learning and growing together. It is also referred to as “intergenerational literacy.” Family literacy programs address the literacy strengths and needs of the family/community while promoting adults’ involvement in children’s education as well as their own education. The program recognizes adults as a powerful influence on children’s academic success.
